We'll find out much more about FIFA at E3 next week. All versions of FIFA 18 will be released on September 29, and will feature Cristiano Ronaldo looking strangely sad on the cover. Incidentally, that small print - and specificially the phrase "The Journey: Hunter Returns mode" also appears to confirm that Alex Hunter, star of FIFA's first ever story campaign, will once again be the focus for its second season. That might be borne out by EA's own press release for its upcoming E3 show, in which it continues to separate this year's FIFA outings into "FIFA 18" and "EA SPORTS FIFA on the Nintendo Switch" - a seeming indication that it considers the Switch version somewhat standalone. However, ex-EA executive Peter Moore previously said that FIFA was was being "custom-built" for Switch, which might allow for better base performance.

In terms of features, it seems it will be closer to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. It's unclear exactly what that means for the Nintendo version of FIFA 18.
